Hey Guys!
Y'all I’m not gonna lie I was quite intrigued when I saw these in stores. I had watched maybe one video and that was about it about this magnetic lashes craze. It looked so easy. I am a HUGE fan of false lashes in which I will forever dub falsies, but girl, I can’t stand using some brands of eyelash glue.
Below are the Ardell details and claims:
- Pre-curved band makes magnetic lashes easier to put on because they're perfectly contoured to fit the lid The magnets of the top lash with magnets of the bottom lash-just place and press, simply effortless
- Budge-proof: no adhesive needed. Lashes stay put until you're ready to remove them
- Made of human hair for a soft, natural look
Left lash wouldn't stay on |
Cost: $12.99 at Sally Beauty Supply
Style: Double Wispies
Stars: 3.5 out of 5
When I realized that no glue was involved at all I was sold. Now, I’m going to be very blunt . Do I like these? I think the concept is amazing but Ardell should go back to lab and rethink this for people that have thinner inner and outer lashes. I think an accent magnetic lash will work perfectly. I’m not completely giving up on the magnetic lash however the pair I purchased—ended up in the trash. There was one pair that just wouldn't stay clasped to my lash line. As you will see in the video, the left last was just falling off. No matter how many times I re-applied, it just wouldn't stay attached to the inner outer corner. I will say that the lash set that did stay in tack, didn't budge and both sets were easy to remove. I didn't realize the lashes were made of human hair, not that I could tell a difference.
Looking at different types of their magnetic line, the Ardell accent demi- wispies, work better as they will cover the thickest part of my lash line. All in All, I have to give these lashes three and a half stars, mainly for the innovation but there is still room for improvement.
Shew.. now that that is out of the way. Check out my video below to see my initial “lust at first sight”
