If you are looking for a moisturizing deep conditioner without any protein, look no further as the Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose Conditioner is exactly that. I have been using this deep conditioner for years, and while the ingredients list appears differently on the newer bottles that product reacts the same as it always has on my hair. (I believe the company lengthened the ingredients list by stating the exact ingredients rather than vaguely listing ingredients such as terms like "Aubrey's Preservatives).
Previous Ingredients list: Coconut fatty acid cream base, organic aloe vera, organic shea butter, wheat germ oil, organic jojoba oil, organic Rosa Mosqueta Rose Hip Seed Oil; extracts of fennel, hops, balm Mint, misltletoe, camomile, yarrow, chrysanthenum, angelica, forsythia and magnolia; honeysuckle oil, carrot oil, Aubrey's Preservstive (citrus seed extract, vitamins A, C and E).
Revised Ingredients list: Aqua, cetyl alcohol (from coconut), alcohol denat. Where to find:I typically purchase my AO Honeysuckle rose from my local Vitamin Shoppe for the price of around 9.00 dollar with tax. Often this conditioner is on sale on vitamin shoppe.com. Sample sizes can be purchase on the aubrey organics website.
Fragrance: Light Floral smell-- which I don't care for, but with an essential oil, I am able to dilute the fragrance.
My suggestions for usage: I suggest using on freshly washed hair. Be sure to remove any access water with a t-shirt and apply liberally to hair shaft as well as ends. Be sure to leave on at minimum 15 minutes with heat OR minimum 30 minutes without heat. If I plan to use without heat I will re-use a plastic store bag and put a beanie on to trap the heat.
